Saudi king invites UAE president to attend second GCC-EU summit

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has sent a written invitation to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, inviting him to participate in the second Gulf Cooperation Council-European Union summit, which will be hosted by Saudi Arabia in October.

The letter was delivered by Saudi Ambassador to the UAE Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Luhaidan Al-Anqari during a meeting with UAE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar at the ministry's headquarters in Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council and the European Union, and expressed their hopes for the success of the upcoming summit.
