Civil Defense urges households to keep fire extinguishers at home

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has emphasized the importance of keeping fire extinguishers in homes and learning the correct way to use them in case of a fire, in order to protect lives and property.

The directorate explained that dry powder extinguishers are particularly effective for tackling various types of household fires, as their rapid response helps contain and control the spread of flames.

The Civil Defense also urged the public to follow safety guidelines and instructions announced through different media outlets and social media platforms. In case of emergencies, residents in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province should call 911, while those in other regions of the Kingdom should dial 998 for assistance.
