Interior minister thanks leadership for appointing new regional council members

Interior Minister Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif has extended his thanks to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister, following the royal order approving the appointment of members to the councils of the Kingdom’s thirteen regions for their eighth term, lasting four years.

He affirmed that the royal order reflects the leadership’s ongoing support and commitment to regional councils, and its efforts to strengthen their role in advancing development across the Kingdom in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The minister noted that for nearly thirty years, regional councils have contributed to local development and enhanced coordination among government entities in the regions, under the supervision of regional governors. He emphasized that the eighth term will continue this approach by leveraging national expertise and working to improve the quality of services provided to citizens and residents.

He prayed for the success of the newly appointed members and for their ability to fulfill their responsibilities in a way that meets the leadership’s aspirations and supports development throughout the Kingdom.
