The second edition of the International Social Responsibility Forum opens today, Monday, in Riyadh under the patronage of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the forum runs on October 5 and 6 under the theme "From Commitment to Impact," bringing together more than 3,000 participants and over 100 speakers from around the world for more than 40 panel discussions.

Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi said that hosting the forum's second edition reflects the ongoing support of the Saudi leadership to strengthen social responsibility and its role in development. He noted that Saudi Vision 2030 has established the private sector as a key development partner and made enhancing corporate social responsibility a national goal, helping to expand its developmental impact and contributions to society.

He added that Saudi Arabia has witnessed significant progress in social responsibility practices in recent years, supported by several national initiatives. These include the formation of the National Committee for Social Responsibility, designating March 23 each year as Social Responsibility Day, launching the National Platform for Social Responsibility, and introducing the Social Responsibility Award. He emphasized the importance of moving from commitment to maximizing impact, adopting global best practices, and strengthening partnerships at both the national and international levels.

The forum brings together leading government and executive officials, regulators, investors, experts, and specialists from Saudi Arabia and around the world to discuss global trends in social responsibility, exchange expertise, and enhance cooperation between government, private, and non-profit sectors.

The forum's program features three main platforms: the "General Session of the International Social Responsibility Forum," the "Corporate Social Responsibility Impact Platform," and the "Corporate Social Responsibility Standards Platform." These platforms will address global experiences, shared challenges, and best practices across six strategic themes: strategy and integration; climate, nature, and just transition; workforce, talent management, and social impact; responsible innovation; digital transformation and corporate social responsibility; and governance, trust, and standards.

The forum will also host the Corporate Social Responsibility Award ceremony, honoring companies that have successfully turned their commitments into measurable results across the Kingdom, highlighting the importance of impact measurement and showcasing effective corporate practices in the private sector.
