Border Guard in Asir arrests Ethiopian for smuggling 43 kg of hashish

Land patrols from the Border Guard in the Raboua sector of Asir region have arrested an Ethiopian national for violating border security regulations after he was caught attempting to smuggle 43 kilograms of hashish. Initial legal procedures were completed, and he and the seized drugs were referred to the relevant authorities.

The Border Guard patrols clarified that the suspect was processed according to legal protocols immediately upon his arrest, before being handed over, along with the confiscated drugs, to the competent authority for further action.

Security authorities have urged citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom.

They also called on the public to contact the General Directorate of Narcotics Control via the hotline (995) or by email at [email protected], stressing that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
