Scholar urges development of Saudi scholarship programs to meet major project needs

Educational consultant Dr. Majid Al-Madhi said that scholarship programs are a national investment in Saudi talent and must evolve toward strategic and specialized tracks to meet the needs of major projects.

Speaking in a radio interview with Al-Ikhbariya, Al-Madhi noted that scholarships are not new to the Kingdom, with the first batch sent abroad during the reign of King Abdulaziz Al Saud.

He added that the scholarship journey has continued, reaching its peak in the present era. He described scholarships as an investment in Saudi citizens, sending young people to leading centers of knowledge worldwide to learn, gain experience, and return to contribute to national development.

The educational consultant continued that the initial focus was on providing opportunities for study abroad, but today, under Saudi Vision 2030, the scholarship program has become more strategic. There are now four distinct scholarship tracks, all aligned with national priorities and major projects.
