Civil Defense urges caution as severe weather hits several regions

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has urged the public to exercise caution and follow safety instructions due to severe weather conditions affecting the regions of Makkah, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Northern Borders, Jazan, and Asir. The warning follows a red alert issued by the National Center for Meteorology.

In a statement posted on its official X account, the directorate noted that these areas are experiencing heavy rainfall, and called on residents to take maximum precautions and avoid areas where water accumulates, as well as valleys and dams, to ensure public safety.

The Civil Defense emphasized the importance of adhering to safety guidelines during rainfall and warned against attempting to cross floodwaters.
