Saudi foreign minister: Kingdom rejects use of waterways for blackmail

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said the Kingdom rejects the use of waterways as a tool for blackmail.

Speaking at the United Nations General Assembly, the foreign minister stressed that safeguarding international navigation is a shared responsibility and emphasized the need to protect global maritime routes.

He noted that Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region have faced blatant Iranian attacks.

The foreign minister also highlighted the urgent need to uphold the United Nations Charter.
