Riyadh Parking launches over 3,600 paid spaces in Al-Olaya district

Riyadh Parking has announced the launch of more than 3,600 paid parking spaces in the commercial strip of Al-Olaya district, starting Saturday, July 25, 2026. The move is part of the ongoing expansion of the public parking management system in Riyadh, aimed at improving the efficiency of parking use in key areas, enhancing access to commercial destinations, and supporting smoother traffic flow and mobility.

The new paid parking covers Olaya Street from Al-Orouba Road to Makkah Road heading south, and King Fahd Road from Makkah Road to Al-Orouba Road, in addition to several internal commercial streets in the area.

Riyadh Parking confirmed that the approved paid parking policy will remain in effect, with operating hours from 8:00 a.m. to midnight, Saturday through Thursday. Parking is free on Fridays, and a 15-minute grace period is available for short-term parking.

Parking fees can be paid via the Riyadh Parking app, self-service payment machines, or by scanning the QR code on the guidance signs. The trial monthly subscription service will not be available in this area during the current phase.

This expansion is part of Riyadh Parking’s ongoing efforts to improve parking efficiency on commercial streets, facilitate access to destinations, reduce random parking, and enhance traffic flow and the urban landscape.

Previously, Riyadh Parking launched more than 25,000 paid spaces on major streets and roads in Riyadh, in addition to activating over 200,000 managed free spaces in residential neighborhoods, dedicated to residents and their visitors. This aims to reduce the influx of vehicles into residential areas and improve parking organization within neighborhoods.
