Border Guard in Jazan arrests five Ethiopians for smuggling 100 kg of khat

Land patrols of the Border Guard in the Al-Daer sector of Jazan region have arrested five Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 100 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures have been completed against them, and both the detainees and the seized items have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom.
