The General Directorate of Passports has clarified the categories of Yemeni nationals residing in Saudi Arabia irregularly who are eligible for the residency status correction initiative.

According to the Passports Directorate, eligible groups include those whose residency permits have expired, individuals reported as absent from work, holders of expired visitor IDs, those with any type of expired visit visa, as well as individuals without Yemeni documents or passports.

Required documents for residency correction

1 - Yemenis with expired residency permits or reported as absent from work must have a valid Yemeni passport and a medical examination. They can complete the correction process online through the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development's digital platforms (Absher, Qiwa for professional workers, and Musaned for domestic workers), without needing to visit government offices.

2 - Those with expired visitor IDs or any type of expired visit visa, whose biometric data is registered in Saudi systems, will have their visas extended electronically for six months. A valid passport is required, and there is no need to visit the Passports Directorate in person.

3 - Individuals without Yemeni documents or passports must access the Absher platform, select the correction site, book an appointment, and attend at the specified time and location. They must bring documents proving Yemeni nationality, such as a passport or a travel document issued by the Yemeni embassy.
