Border Guard patrols in Jazan arrest resident for transporting 15 illegal migrants

Patrols from the General Directorate of Mujahideen in Jazan region have arrested a Pakistani resident after he was caught transporting 15 Ethiopian nationals in violation of border security regulations in his vehicle.

The relevant authorities have detained the violators and taken legal action against them. The individuals involved have been referred to the competent authorities, while the person who assisted them has been transferred to the Public Prosecution.

The official spokesperson for the General Directorate of Mujahideen stated that anyone who facilitates the entry, transport, harboring, or assistance of individuals violating border security regulations faces penalties of up to 15 years in prison and a fine of up to one million riyals (SAR), in addition to the confiscation of the vehicle and accommodation used, and public naming.

Penalties and official guidance

The spokesperson noted that this offense is considered a major crime requiring detention and is a breach of honor and trust. He urged the public to report violations of residency, labor, and border security regulations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom.

He emphasized that all reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without any liability for the informant.
