US embassy in Yemen reaffirms support for Saudi Arabia against Houthi threats

The US embassy in Yemen has reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's right to confront Houthi threats.

In a statement on X, the embassy said the United States stands firmly with Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government as they defend their sovereignty and work to restore stability in the face of Houthi threats.

This comes amid a recent escalation by the Iran-backed Houthi militia, as Yemeni armed forces continue to confront them on all fronts to safeguard Yemen's stability and protect maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
