Saudi Food and Drug Authority issues guidelines for safe pesticide storage

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has issued important advice on the safe storage of pesticides to ensure safety and minimize risk.

In a statement posted on its X platform account, the authority outlined several guidelines: always check the expiration date before use, ensure containers are tightly sealed, and avoid storing pesticides in areas used for sleeping or sitting.

The authority further advised keeping pesticides away from open flames, storing them only in their original containers without transferring to other bottles, avoiding direct sunlight, ensuring proper ventilation, and keeping them out of reach of children and pets. Pesticides should also be kept away from all types of food, including animal feed.
