Saudi cybersecurity authority conducts inspections to boost regulatory compliance

The National Cybersecurity Authority has conducted a series of inspections targeting activities related to cybersecurity at national entities, aiming to verify the implementation of regulatory requirements. This initiative is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to strengthen compliance and ensure the adoption of best practices in cybersecurity across the Kingdom, in line with its regulatory mandate.
The inspection tours included visits to several national organizations and critical infrastructure entities from both the public and private sectors. The purpose was to assess compliance with security alerts and regulatory requirements, and to confirm that the necessary licenses from the authority have been obtained. These efforts are intended to reinforce the role of cybersecurity in protecting the nation’s vital interests, national security, critical infrastructure, priority sectors, and government services and activities, while supporting the creation of a secure cyber environment to foster growth across all sectors.
The authority stated that its inspection and monitoring teams are continuously tracking and addressing cybersecurity violations to further enhance the Kingdom’s cybersecurity posture.
