Falcon shipments from global farms arrive in Riyadh for international auction

Shipments of falcons from several renowned international breeding farms have begun arriving in Saudi Arabia in preparation for the 2026 International Falcon Breeders Auction, organized by the National Center for Falcons from August 5 to 25 at its headquarters in Malham, north of Riyadh.

The shipments received so far include falcons from leading farms such as Hermann Falcons Farm and AW Falcons from Austria, Naseem Bahrain Farm from the Netherlands, RO Farm from Romania, and Falco Ireland from the Republic of Ireland. Additional shipments are expected to arrive in the coming days and throughout the auction period, according to the approved schedule for international participants.

The arrival of these shipments is part of ongoing preparations for the auction, which brings together local and international falcon breeding farms, allowing them to showcase their birds to falconers, buyers, and investors. The event features direct sales and live bidding through the auction platform.
The auction attracts breeding farms from around the world each year, expanding the range of breeds and options available to falconers, supporting the exchange of expertise between local and international producers, and strengthening Saudi Arabia's presence in the global falcon breeding market.

The auction includes pavilions for both local and international breeding farms, sections for falconry equipment, a live bidding platform, and a program of workshops and related activities. The event continues to welcome participating farms and shipments according to the auction's schedule.

In 2025, the auction recorded the sale of 1,103 falcons from 67 farms representing 23 countries, including 19 Saudi farms, with total sales exceeding SAR 13 million. The event saw a 23% increase in sales value, a 27% rise in the number of falcons sold, a 20% increase in participating farms, and a 21% growth in the number of participating countries.
