Saudi restraint does not mean complacency, military expert warns

Military expert Maj. Gen. Sultan Al-Otaibi has stated that Saudi Arabia’s restraint should not be mistaken for complacency, and the Kingdom reserves the right to respond at any time to safeguard its security.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya channel, Al-Otaibi added that the Houthi militia is responsible for launching the missiles, but politically, this escalation cannot be separated from regional agendas seeking to use the militia to increase tensions.

Earlier, the official spokesperson for the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen, Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki, announced that Saudi air defenses had intercepted and destroyed six ballistic missiles launched by the Houthi terrorist militia in an attempt to target the Taif and Yanbu regions.

Al-Maliki explained that the air defense systems successfully dealt with the threat and thwarted the attempt to target civilian facilities in both cities.
