Ibrahim Al-Husseini, CEO of the Ihsan platform, stated that transforming Ihsan into an independent nonprofit organization will enhance both institutional and financial sustainability, while supporting the continuity of development projects.

Speaking to Al-Ikhbariya Radio, Al-Husseini said the new transformation will enable the creation of innovative programs and services, as well as make donations and charitable giving easier.

His comments followed a royal decree converting the National Platform for Charitable Work, Ihsan, into an independent nonprofit organization under the name Ihsan Foundation for Charitable Work. The move is part of an institutional transformation aimed at strengthening charitable work, expanding donation opportunities, and improving the efficiency of the nonprofit sector in Saudi Arabia.

A royal decree also appointed a board of trustees for the foundation, chaired by Majid Al-Qasabi with Ahmed Al-Rajhi as vice chair. Board membership will last for three years and may be renewed.

The Ihsan Foundation for Charitable Work aims to promote charitable activities and connect donors with beneficiaries by offering diverse donation opportunities and enabling individuals and companies to contribute. The foundation will also work with government and private entities to help improve the efficiency of the nonprofit sector in the Kingdom.
