Saudi Roads Authority updates on Jubail-Qassim and Qassim-Makkah projects

The General Authority for Roads has provided updates on several road projects connected to the Qassim region, detailing progress on the Jubail-Qassim road and ongoing work to complete the link from Qassim toward Makkah.

The authority stated that the total length of the Jubail-Qassim road is approximately 447 kilometers, of which 44 kilometers are being constructed in two phases. Of these, 38 kilometers have been completed, while work continues on the remaining 6 kilometers.

It added that the remaining section of the road, spanning about 403 kilometers, is currently undergoing regulatory procedures.

Regarding the road connecting Qassim to Makkah, the authority said that part of the route is already open to traffic, stretching from its intersection with the Qassim-Madinah Expressway to the Ar Rass–Nabhaniyah road, with 135 kilometers as an expressway and an additional 26 kilometers as a dual carriageway.

The authority confirmed that work is ongoing to complete the connection with the Miskah–Afif road leading to Makkah, aiming to strengthen links between regions and improve the efficiency of the national road network.
