Saudi Arabia welcomes launch of Global South-South and Triangular Cooperation Alliance

Saudi Arabia has welcomed the launch of the Global South-South and Triangular Cooperation Alliance, highlighting the significance of this initiative in strengthening integration among nations and reducing duplication of efforts, while respecting each country's national priorities.

In a statement marking United Nations Day for South-South Cooperation, Saudi Arabia’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasel, said that Saudi Vision 2030 aligns with the priorities of South-South cooperation, particularly in areas such as economic diversification, digital transformation, innovation, sustainability, youth empowerment, and the private sector.

Dr. Al-Wasel noted that the Saudi Fund for Development has supported and financed development projects and programs in more than 100 developing countries, across various vital sectors.

He reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to continued collaboration with UN member states and international partners to strengthen cooperation and achieve more prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive development.
