Over 72 Saudi teachers win local and international awards in past year

Education Minister Yousef Al-Benyan announced that more than 72 male and female teachers in Saudi Arabia received local and international awards over the past year.

Speaking at a government press conference, Al-Benyan added that Saudi students won more than 400 prizes and medals last year, attributing this achievement to investment in teachers, which has positively impacted students.

The minister also stated that the ministry has launched a platform to provide continuous remote professional development for over 500,000 education sector employees.

Al-Benyan emphasized that teachers are a cornerstone of education, noting that there is a major professional development training plan for teachers—one of the largest in the education system. He said 60,000 teachers received training last year through the Human Capability Development Program initiative, aiming to enhance professional development for all education staff at various levels.
