Deadline for vacant land owners to correct violations ends in 45 days

The Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing has announced that the correction period granted to vacant land owners to address violations will end in 45 days, on 15 Rabi Al-Akhir 1448 AH, corresponding to September 26, 2026.

The ministry called on all owners of vacant land to take the initiative to rectify the status of their properties and comply with approved municipal requirements and regulations before the deadline.

The ministry explained that this period aims to enhance compliance on vacant lands and address violations that affect the overall appearance of cities and governorates, such as the accumulation of construction waste, excavation debris, and unauthorized use of land.

Field monitoring and urban improvement

The ministry noted that municipal authorities continue to carry out field monitoring and inspections of vacant lands across the Kingdom to detect and address violations in accordance with approved regulations, contributing to higher compliance and reducing visual blight.

It added that adhering to regulations governing vacant lands helps improve the urban landscape, raise the quality of the built environment, and enhance quality of life in cities and governorates.

The ministry urged vacant land owners to take advantage of the remaining period and address any issues with their properties before the deadline to avoid regulatory action for violations.
