Border Guard in Jazan arrests 9 Yemenis, Ethiopians for smuggling 180 kg of khat

Land patrols of the Border Guard in Al-Dayer sector, Jazan region, have arrested nine violators of border security regulations, of Yemeni and Ethiopian nationalities, for attempting to smuggle 180 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures were completed, and the detainees and seized items were handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, or the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, as well as by email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
