Focus on students’ psychological readiness at start of school year, says education adviser

Education adviser Marzoug Al-Thubaiti said that the coming week is one of the most important of the school year, as it is when students are prepared and their focus and attention levels are raised.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, he added that psychological and emotional support should take precedence over academic content at the start, so that students are better prepared for their studies.

Al-Thubaiti noted that students often return from vacation with lower concentration, motivation, and attention, but stressed that academic aspects should not be neglected to ensure students are ready to begin learning.

The Ministry of Education has completed preparations for the new academic year, which begins Sunday, and is monitoring the readiness of schools and the education system to welcome students back after the summer holiday.
