Guests of King Salman’s Umrah program visit historic sites in Madinah

Guests of the King Salman Umrah and Visit Program, overseen by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance for the year 1448 AH, visited several Islamic landmarks in Madinah on Saturday. Their itinerary included the Uhud Martyrs Cemetery, Mount Rumah, and Quba Mosque, as part of a cultural program organized by the ministry during their stay.

The visitors received explanations on the proper Islamic etiquette for visiting cemeteries, along with a detailed account of the Battle of Uhud, learning about the site and its historical significance.

The group also visited Quba Mosque, where they learned about its historical importance and virtues, and performed two units of prayer following the tradition of the Prophet Muhammad.

The guests expressed their gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the services provided, which facilitated their visits to these historic Islamic sites. They praised Saudi Arabia’s care for Islam and Muslims and shared their happiness with the experience.

Guests from 23 African countries

The third group of the program includes 250 male and female pilgrims from 23 African countries, including Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Senegal, Guinea-Conakry, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana, Niger, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Mauritania, Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Chad, Tanzania, Djibouti, South Africa, Zambia, Namibia, Angola, and Mali.
