Kuwait on Tuesday strongly condemned the ongoing Houthi attacks targeting Makkah and Madinah, describing them as a provocation to Muslims worldwide and a serious escalation that violates the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, according to a statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The ministry also denounced attacks on Riyadh and several other Saudi cities, as well as strikes targeting civilians, civil and economic facilities, and ships in the Red Sea and Bab Al-Mandab Strait, stressing that such actions threaten regional security and the safety of maritime navigation.

The statement reiterated Kuwait’s categorical rejection of these repeated hostile acts, considering them a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty and a clear breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
