Six expatriates arrested in Riyadh for environmental violations

The Special Forces for Environmental Security have arrested six expatriates—Syrian, Egyptian, and Yemeni nationals—for violating environmental regulations by exploiting soil deposits in the Riyadh region. Legal measures have been taken against them.

The forces reported that 10 pieces of equipment used for excavating and transporting soil were seized. Authorities urged the public to report any environmental or wildlife violations by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 996 in other regions of the Kingdom. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
