Princess Nourah University launches academic acceleration program for new students

Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, through its Deanship of Admission and Registration, has launched the "Academic Acceleration" program for the 1448 academic year. The initiative aims to fast-track the educational journey of new female students, enabling them to complete their university studies in a shorter period in line with their abilities and academic excellence.

The program features two main tracks. The first, "Academic Acceleration for Foundation Year Exemption," is designed for newly admitted high school graduates. It allows eligible students to be placed directly into their chosen majors without the need to complete the foundation year, subject to specific criteria. After placement, students must complete any remaining courses not covered by the acceleration system.

To apply for this track, students must be admitted to the foundation year of health colleges or the College of Engineering and must have a composite score of at least 89%.

The second track, "Partial Acceleration," grants exemptions from certain courses to students who successfully pass specialized proficiency exams. This track is available to students admitted to the College of Nursing, the College of Computer and Information Sciences, the College of Science, and the College of Business Administration, provided they also have a composite score of no less than 89%.

The university explained that the academic acceleration system is part of the Deanship of Admission and Registration's efforts to enhance the educational experience, improve learning outcomes, and support academic excellence by offering flexible pathways that enable outstanding students to fully realize their academic potential.
