Al Jouf University launches new initiatives for incoming students

Al Jouf University today launched a series of initiatives and programs aimed at new male and female students during a welcoming ceremony for the 1448 academic year, held under the slogan "Your University... Your Destination." The event was attended by University President Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Shaya, university leaders, college deans, faculty members, and a large group of students.

During the ceremony, the university president inaugurated the "Ethraa" program, which aims to simplify academic systems and procedures, making them more accessible and understandable for students. He also launched the "Identity and Empowerment" initiative under the theme "Awareness Protects... Skills Empower," which covers four tracks: personal, social, and leadership skills development; strengthening identity and intellectual awareness; health awareness and preventive behavior; and artificial intelligence and digital skills. The event also featured the annual Al Jouf University President's Competition in the Holy Qur’an and Sunnah, as well as the 16th Scientific Forum for Al Jouf University students, which includes seven main themes and thirty competitive tracks in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, and other fields. Additionally, the Al Jouf University Sports Olympiad for the President's Cup was announced, featuring seven sports, twelve championships, and approximately 140 matches across three categories.

In his address to students, the university president emphasized that the university has prepared all facilities to provide a comprehensive educational environment and is committed to offering resources that support learning and the development of research and innovation skills.

The ceremony also included a video presentation about the "Your University... Your Destination" program, which offers a comprehensive orientation journey starting from a student's first day at the university. The program helps students get to know their college and major, access university systems, platforms, and services, benefit from clubs, activities, and volunteer opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging and participation in university life.
