flynas launches first direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo

flynas, the leading low-cost carrier globally and the first in the Middle East, has celebrated the launch of its first direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo, Syria. The inaugural event took place at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah on September 2, attended by representatives from flynas and Jeddah Airports Company.

Passengers on the first flight were welcomed with gifts as part of the celebration for the new service, which will see flynas operate two weekly direct flights between Jeddah and Aleppo. The new route aims to enhance travel options between the two cities and support passenger movement between Saudi Arabia and Syria.

The addition of the Jeddah–Aleppo route is part of flynas’ growth and expansion strategy under the slogan "We Connect the World to the Kingdom," reflecting the airline’s commitment to expanding its international network and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s air connectivity in line with the National Aviation Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.

With the launch of these new flights, flynas continues to expand its presence in the Syrian market. The airline currently operates 14 weekly direct flights between Riyadh and Damascus, with two flights daily, seven weekly flights between Jeddah and Damascus (one daily), three weekly direct flights between Dammam and Damascus, and two weekly flights between Riyadh and Aleppo.

The flight network between Saudi Arabia and Syria contributes to boosting travel and air connectivity between the two countries. It also supports the objectives of the Saudi aviation sector to position the Kingdom as a global hub for aviation and travel, aiming to connect with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030.
