Border Guard in Jazan arrests nine Ethiopians for smuggling 200 kg of khat

Saudi Border Guard land patrols in Al-Daer sector, Jazan region, have arrested nine Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 200 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures were completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband were handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, or the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995.
