Health Holding Company has announced that 40 specialized centers within its 20 affiliated health clusters have received international accreditation from the American Heart Association (AHA) for their cardiac and stroke care programs. This achievement meets all targets for preparing centers to international standards, as part of ongoing efforts to implement the Saudi Model of Care, which aims to enhance healthcare quality and speed up response to critical cases.

In an official statement, Health Holding Company explained that the AHA accreditation covers 20 specialized centers for chest pain and heart attack care—18 at the comprehensive level and two at the primary level—as well as 20 centers for stroke care, including 12 comprehensive and eight primary centers. This brings the total number of comprehensive-level accredited centers to 30.

This accreditation is the result of a comprehensive program to develop specialized services across all regions of the Kingdom. The program included updating and developing more than 200 policies and procedures, activating over 50 clinical pathways, and standardizing more than 75 operational procedures across the 20 health clusters under Health Holding Company. The goal is to boost the readiness of healthcare facilities, strengthen integration among medical and nursing teams, and accelerate diagnosis and treatment for critical cases.

Health Holding Company praised the efforts of health cluster leaders and medical, nursing, and administrative teams who contributed to this achievement. The company emphasized that these accreditations mark an important step in implementing the Saudi Model of Care by developing specialized healthcare services and enhancing integration between care and referral levels. This ensures that beneficiaries receive appropriate care in a timely manner, helps reduce complications from heart attacks and strokes, and improves survival and recovery rates.

The company added that the next phase will focus on further developing the centers' capabilities and readiness, working to upgrade primary-level accredited centers to the comprehensive level in line with approved standards, and emphasizing clinical outcome measurement and sustained improvement in service quality for beneficiaries.
