Riyadh police arrest five Saudis for trafficking hashish, meth, and controlled pills

Riyadh police announced on Thursday the arrest of five Saudi nationals for allegedly distributing hashish, methamphetamine (shabu), and prescription-only pills. Authorities confirmed the suspects have been detained and legal procedures initiated ahead of their referral to the relevant authorities.

The Public Security Directorate stated that security forces took immediate action upon apprehending the suspects, detaining them and completing the necessary procedures in preparation for their transfer to the competent authority.

Public Security urged citizens and residents to report drug traffickers and dealers by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions, as well as the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995. Authorities assured that all reports are handled with strict confidentiality.
