Yemeni nationals arrested in Jazan for smuggling 45 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of Jazan region have arrested two Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 45 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement from the Border Guard on its X platform account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both they and the seized contraband have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or by email at [email protected]. All reports will be handled with strict confidentiality.
