Over 6,000 trained by Red Crescent in Al-Baha in H1 2026

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority in Al-Baha, through its Training and Community Awareness Department, conducted 200 training and qualification programs during the first half of 2026, benefiting 6,338 trainees from various sectors and segments of society.

The authority stated that these programs are part of its efforts to promote first aid awareness and enhance the community’s readiness to respond to emergencies.

Beneficiary breakdown and training locations

Beneficiaries included 2,380 from the education sector, 1,867 from security agencies, 777 from the private sector, 603 from community groups, 523 in public places, and 188 from government institutions.

The programs were held at multiple sites across Al-Baha and its governorates. Of the total, 1,107 trainees attended sessions at the authority’s training center, while 5,231 participated in programs delivered at the premises of beneficiary organizations, expanding the reach to diverse groups.

Specialized first aid programs

The offerings included specialized first aid courses, such as the “First Eight Minutes” program, designed to equip trainees with essential life-saving skills and improve their ability to respond appropriately and provide initial assistance in the critical minutes following an emergency.

Overall statistics for 2025 and 2026

In total, the authority implemented 1,057 training programs in Al-Baha during 2025 and the first half of 2026, benefiting 60,010 trainees. This included 857 courses in 2025, which served 53,672 participants.
