The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Reserve Authority, marking World Ranger Day on July 31, emphasized that rangers are a cornerstone in protecting natural resources and preserving biodiversity within the reserve.

The authority explained that rangers play key roles including environmental monitoring and enforcement, ensuring compliance with regulations, and responding to reports—actions that enhance protection efficiency and maintain ecosystem integrity.

The authority also noted that rangers’ responsibilities are evolving through the use of modern technologies, particularly drones, which improve aerial surveillance, enable coverage of vast areas, and allow monitoring of priority sites.
