Key Takeaways
AIThe Education and Training Evaluation Commission, represented by the National Center for Training Evaluation and Accreditation (Masar), has granted licenses to two international organizations to conduct program accreditation for training initiatives in Saudi Arabia.
The licensed organizations are RTITB Limited from the United Kingdom, which specializes in accrediting training programs related to lifting machinery, heavy equipment, and cranes, and the International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) from Australia, which focuses on accrediting training in tourism, hospitality, events, and culinary arts sectors.
The licensing of THE-ICE was carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, as part of the ministry’s efforts to develop human capital in the tourism sector.
The commission stated that this move aims to regulate program accreditation activities by international bodies, ensure the quality of foreign accreditations within the Kingdom, and localize best international practices in training quality and program accreditation. The initiative is intended to enhance the competitiveness of training programs and outcomes, and to secure international recognition of their quality, in line with Saudi Vision 2030 and the Human Capability Development Program.
The commission called on training institutions to visit the international program accreditation page on its website to learn about licensed organizations and review the requirements and conditions for obtaining program accreditation.
