The Public Investment Fund (PIF), in partnership with Formula E, announced today the launch of an upgraded version of the educational platform "Driving Force Presented by PIF," expanding its e-learning reach to benefit more young people globally. The platform offers interactive educational content in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), allowing youth to explore the future of electric motorsport. The announcement follows the program’s success since its launch last year, reaching over 4,500 students across the Kingdom.

The program, set to launch in April 2025, will provide a comprehensive learning model, including live workshops held in Riyadh, Jeddah, and other international cities, as well as lesson plans and teaching materials for educators. Interactive learning content will also be available through the program’s online platform.

Globally, the program has reached 111,200 students in 1,100 schools across Saudi Arabia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Building on this success, PIF and Formula E aim to further expand the program’s scope and content by organizing additional workshops in various Saudi cities, enhancing opportunities for e-learning both at home and in classrooms. The goal is to establish the platform as a leading global digital resource, providing more youth with opportunities to engage with the future of electric motorsport and sustainable mobility through interactive STEM content.

The upgraded platform serves as an interactive digital destination for youth, parents, and teachers, offering tailored experiences for each group. Young users can access content featuring interactive challenges, quizzes, games, and prizes, making STEM learning more enjoyable and shareable. Parents are provided with resources to support their children’s interests in these fields and to explore future career paths in mobility, while teachers gain access to ready-to-use lesson plans and educational activities for classroom use.

The new platform content centers on the recently launched Gen4 Formula E car, allowing users to engage with the world of Formula E racing and deepen their understanding of the latest technologies, sustainability standards, and development pathways. The platform’s content will be regularly updated to enhance the interactive experience for youth, parents, and teachers worldwide.

PIF is a key partner of the Formula E Championship, reflecting its commitment to supporting electric motorsport, sustainability, and the future of mobility.

Mohammed Al-Sayyad, Head of Corporate Identity at PIF, said: "The Driving Force Presented by PIF program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation, encouraging innovation in the future of mobility and developing technical skills among national talent in future-focused sectors. The program’s reach to thousands of students in its first year demonstrates the impact of PIF’s partnerships and initiatives. Expanding the platform’s e-learning capabilities aligns with PIF’s commitment to advancing electric motorsport and sustainable mobility in the Kingdom and globally."

Julia Pallé, Vice President of Sustainability at Formula E, said: "We are delighted to expand and update the Driving Force Presented by PIF platform in partnership with PIF. The new content, centered on the recently launched Gen4 Formula E car, aims to bridge professional electric motorsport and academic learning, sparking global youth interest in STEM fields through an engaging, interactive educational experience that prepares the next generation for a future of innovation."
