Historic Najran Emirate Palace stands as witness to Kingdom's founding

As Saudi National Day approaches, the nation recalls its most significant historical landmarks, including the historic Emirate Palace in Najran. This architectural and national symbol stands as a testament to the story of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s founding and unification.

Built in 1363H, the palace is located in the heart of the old city of Aba Al-Saud, covering an area of 6,252 square meters. The three-story structure features numerous rooms and facilities, an ancient well, and circular towers at each corner, along with additional watchtowers. The palace once served as the seat of the emirate and several government departments during a period marked by major administrative and developmental changes in Najran as part of the Saudi state’s formation.
