Four Ethiopians arrested in Jazan for smuggling 160 kg of khat

Border Guard land patrols in the Al-Daer sector of Jazan region have arrested four Ethiopian nationals for violating border security regulations and attempting to smuggle 160 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both the detainees and the seized items have been handed over to the competent authorities.

Security authorities urge all citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 and 994 in other regions of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995, or by email at [email protected]. All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality and without liability for the informant.
