Al-Khuraiji emphasized that since contributing to the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, Saudi Arabia has maintained its commitment to its enduring principles, especially safeguarding state sovereignty, national independence, and rejecting the use of force to resolve disputes.

He noted that these values are reflected in the Kingdom’s foreign policy, which prioritizes dialogue in managing international issues, works to expand cooperative relations, and supports efforts that enhance international security and peace.
The deputy minister stressed the importance of continued coordination through the United Nations and the Non-Aligned Movement to reinforce the priority of peaceful political solutions and strengthen adherence to international law, including ensuring freedom of navigation in international waterways as affirmed by UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
Al-Khuraiji pointed out that the absence of political solutions is evident in the Middle East due to ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza and other occupied Palestinian territories, as well as attacks on Syrian territory, which constitute blatant violations of people’s rights and state sovereignty and drive the region toward greater tension and instability.
He reiterated Saudi Arabia’s position that peace is the only option capable of providing lasting security for all countries and peoples of the region, stressing that achieving this goal requires expediting a just, comprehensive, and final settlement of the Palestinian issue.
