Additionally, the governor launched the "Distinguished Safe Roads" initiative, which aims to survey and assess the road network outside urban areas in the region, covering more than 2,918 kilometers, with the participation of local residents and relevant government agencies.
Enhancing transport safety and signing a cooperation agreement
The governor also oversaw the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the emirate and the National Transport Safety Center to enhance transport safety, exchange information on serious accidents, and coordinate safety investigation activities. The agreement was signed by Hussein bin Mohammed Al-Sultan, deputy governor of Al-Jouf, and Captain Tai bin Abdulrahman Al-Shammari, CEO of the center.
Minister Saleh Al-Jasser stated that the projects will improve mobility and serve both residents and visitors, having been implemented according to safety and quality standards and the Saudi road code. He affirmed ongoing efforts to develop the road network in support of the National Transport and Logistics Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030.
The governor of Al-Jouf highlighted the leadership's commitment to development projects and infrastructure upgrades, noting that these initiatives will strengthen the region's road network and support its economic and developmental potential.
