Interior Ministry medical services hold awareness events for World Breastfeeding Week

The General Directorate of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior organized awareness activities to mark World Breastfeeding Week at Security Forces Hospitals in Riyadh, Makkah, and Dammam, as well as at the Specialized Comprehensive Security Forces Clinics in west Riyadh.

The events aimed to promote awareness of the role of breastfeeding in supporting the health of mothers and children, and to encourage healthy practices throughout the breastfeeding period.

Activities included educational booths, counseling sessions, and guidance, as well as information on the health benefits of breastfeeding for both mother and infant. The importance of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of a child’s life, in line with global health recommendations, was also highlighted.

These events are part of the General Directorate of Medical Services’ ongoing efforts to enhance health awareness programs, promote preventive health culture, and support global health initiatives, contributing to improved quality of life and better health outcomes.
