Civil Defense declares end of threat in Yanbu and Jazan, urges public to follow guidelines

The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced this morning that the threat has been lifted for Yanbu governorate and the city of Jazan, following an earlier emergency alert issued through the National Early Warning Platform regarding a potential risk in both areas.

The directorate called on citizens and residents to adhere to official instructions from the relevant authorities and to avoid circulating rumors or unverified videos while monitoring updates.

Safety guidelines during alerts

Civil Defense emphasized the importance of remaining calm and immediately moving to the nearest safe location inside buildings or interior rooms away from windows, and staying there until the threat has passed.

The directorate also stressed the need to avoid going outdoors during the alert period, to stay away from glass, balconies, and rooftops, and advised those outside to seek shelter in the nearest building or behind a solid barrier.

Additionally, the directorate urged the public to avoid gathering, taking photos, or approaching hazardous areas to ensure public safety.
