Saudi Cabinet urges protection of navigation in Hormuz, Bab Al-Mandab, Red Sea and Gulf of Aden

The Cabinet emphasized the importance of ensuring the protection of freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, Bab Al-Mandab, the Red Sea, and the Gulf of Aden.

The Cabinet also called for restoring the situation in the Strait of Hormuz to what it was before February 28, with no imposition of fees or restrictions, and rejected the use of these vital waterways as tools for pressure, threats, or harming the interests of states, in accordance with international law and relevant UN resolutions.

The session was chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman during the Cabinet meeting held today in Riyadh.
