Sukkari dates lead sales at Buraidah International Dates Carnival 2026

Sukkari dates made a strong showing at the 2026 Buraidah International Dates Carnival, which opened in Buraidah. The variety is among the most popular in the Qassim region and is highly sought after by both consumers and traders.

The 'Sukkari Muftal' variety topped the displays, classified into three main grades: Sukkari Royal, known for its large size, attractive color, and flawless skin; Sukkari No. 1, which is medium-sized; and Sukkari No. 2, which is smaller. The market also featured the Sukkari Galaxy among the available types.

Sukkari date prices during the carnival varied according to size, color, sorting quality, and appearance, as well as the quantities supplied and the level of demand. This range of grades offered buyers and traders multiple options to suit their needs and budgets.

Organizers noted that the high demand for Sukkari dates reflects their status as one of Qassim’s leading date products. The carnival serves as a key marketing platform for farmers and traders to showcase and sell their produce to consumers both within and outside the region.

According to the latest announced statistics, total date sales at the carnival reached 98,015,377 riyals (SAR).
