Over 100,000 students return to Northern Borders schools as academic year begins

Schools under the General Directorate of Education in the Northern Borders region welcomed more than 100,000 students across all general education levels on Sunday, marking the start of the new 1448 academic year as students returned to classrooms in cities and governorates throughout the region.

The directorate stated that morning assembly in all schools will take place at 6:45 a.m., with the first lesson beginning at 7:00 a.m., starting Sunday.

Preparations for the new school year have been completed, including checks on the readiness of school buildings and facilities, completion of maintenance, operations, and cleaning, ensuring the availability of educational supplies, and confirming the readiness of teaching and administrative staff, school transport, and support services.

These preparations are part of the Ministry of Education’s back-to-school campaign, launched under the slogan “We Write a Story,” aimed at preparing students and their families for the new academic year, raising awareness of school hours, and promoting attendance and discipline to support academic achievement and provide a safe, motivating learning environment.
