King Salman Medical City lab earns US CAP accreditation

The laboratory at the Maternity and Children’s Hospital in King Salman Medical City, a member of the Madinah Health Cluster, has received accreditation from the College of American Pathologists (CAP) after passing a comprehensive evaluation focused on laboratory quality, performance efficiency, and result accuracy.

The lab underwent a rigorous assessment by a team of inspectors and experts from the College of American Pathologists, which included a review of operational systems, quality procedures, staff competency, and the accuracy of laboratory results.

The evaluation also verified the implementation of international best practices in safety, risk management, and quality control, in line with CAP accreditation requirements.

CAP accreditation is recognized as an international standard for quality and operational efficiency in medical laboratories, confirming that accredited labs can deliver reliable diagnostic services in accordance with global best practices.
