Nine Yemenis arrested in Jazan for smuggling khat

Border Guard ground patrols in the Al-Ardah sector of Jazan region have arrested nine Yemeni nationals for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 144 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

According to a statement on the Border Guard's official X account, initial legal procedures have been completed against the suspects, and both the detainees and the seized contraband have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling (911) in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern Province, or (999) and (994) in other regions of the Kingdom.
