Mecca Defense Agreement has military, economic and geopolitical impact: analyst

Political analyst Dr. Furat Al-Bassam stated that the Mecca Defense Agreement carries military, economic, and geopolitical dimensions.

Speaking in an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, he added that the agreement brings together three of the region's most prominent powers in a framework that strengthens deterrence and reinforces regional security and stability, rather than being directed toward war or against any specific country.

Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan announced last Friday the signing of the "Mecca Joint Defense Agreement" during a summit hosted in Mecca at the invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
